It Was Just A Life

Okay, here we are.  I should probably simply write "under construction" as I have no idea how I want this whole web page to look.  Oh well, at least I am not screaming "MY VISION, PEOPLE!  MY VISION!"

As my vision starting going  south when I was in first grade, I am not saying I am not a diva, I am saying that to scream "MY VISION!" simply would not be logical.

So, I suppose I can nutshell it for now.  This is a page for readers and writers of all size and age.  I will shovel something out to anyone who might be interested, and welcome all comments. Dialogue is encouraged.

Since we are supposed to be grown-ups, I ask for mutual civil and respectful interaction, but do not be afraid to curse.  It is not a problem, especially if used in a unique fashion.  It would be fun to have a contest.

So, welcome!  Have patience, as we are just getting started, but come over anytime, pick a category, and just enjoy yourself.

A new short story in the "Short Stories" section.   I know, where else would it be, must this woman constantly state the obvious?  Well, yes, because I am stumbling around this web page business as if I owed the Mafia money and they just took it out on my fingers.  Redundancy is my only reality in this realm.

And just a note, if you like to read what I write, there is almost always something new on one of the blogs.  It would be a great help if you noticed grammar and punctuation errors - I definitely welcome error feedback, as I am usually trying to write as fast as my brain is shouting, and a poor comma doesn't stand a chance in that boxing ring.

See you soon!

Also,  added a few more pages - William A. Mahan is my father, and he gets his own
page.  I do not even know where to begin with him - unique character, that guy.

A new addition on the William A. Mahan page.  He is very much on my mind today, probably because I received my husband Abel Jaramillo's ashes on Halloween night, twelve years ago, and in East Los Angeles, November 1st and 2nd are All Saints Day, and the Day of the Dead - much more the true Halloween spirit than the white or trying to be white folks celebrate it. Just my opinion, anyway. And the kids are pretty cute.....BUT
Day of the Dead is about honoring your deceased family.  Maybe I will go tomorrow, and tell you about it.

Thanks for visiting!

December 7th, 2007

Well, we are at the end of the year.  I have added a few links on the links page, and a short story, not written by me, will be coming to the William Allen Mahan page, and memoirs, well, at this point, what is new is how I feel about the whole idea here at the end of 2007.

Happy Holidays everybody.  I will be back on this page in 2008.
